ERMHS/ERICS Assessments

Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) or Educationally Related Intensive Counseling Services (ERICS) are mental health services that are provided to students receiving special education services. These services are provided when students have significant socio-emotional or socio- behavioral needs that impede their ability to benefit from their special education services. A comprehensive social-emotional assessment must be completed to determine the need for these services, as well as areas to target for intervention.

Our assessment process is centered around gaining a profound understanding of the root causes of behavior, delving into potential mental health conditions, and identifying suitable supports and environmental factors that can optimally address the student's mental health needs. Our approach is comprehensive, aiming to provide a thorough understanding and tailored recommendations for the holistic well-being of the student.
